Announces New Next-Gen WC-Series™ Water
Cooled Condensing Units
Units feature
increased efficiency and easy access for service
Duluth,
GA – March 14, 2018 –
Heat Transfer Products Group, LLC (HTPG), manufacturer of commercial
refrigeration equipment sold under the recognized brands of Russell,
Witt, Kramer and ColdZone, announces the new Next-Gen WC-Series Water Cooled
Condensing Units. The new models incorporate design features from
the award-winning Next-Gen ½ to 6 HP Air Cooled Condensing Units and offer
greater serviceability, performance, and are compatible for use with low global
warming potential (GWP) refrigerants.
“These new condensing
units are a significant improvement over the legacy water cooled models,” said Paul Westbrook,
HTPG’s director of sales and marketing. “Improvements include mechanically
formed pre-bent tubing for reduction of potential leaks, high efficiency water
cooled coaxial condenser and heat exchange for better performance, and several
features that make servicing and maintenance much easier.” The units have base
mounted shut-off valves, a large electrical control box with a hinged and
removable door, color-coded wiring and an easy-to-read point-to-point
wiring diagram. The control box has ample space for optional components.
Next-Gen
WC-Series standard models are offered with hermetic or scroll compressors and
include the previously mentioned improvements along with features such as a
liquid line kit with filter and sight glass with moisture indicator; suction
line piping; refrigerant receiver with isolation valve and pressure relief
plug; adjustable dual pressure (auto reset) controls; electronic defrost timer
with defrost contactor on low temperature models; and electronic air defrost
timer on medium temperature models. A host of optional components are available
to further customize the units to match the specific refrigeration need:
Cupronickel heat exchanger and water piping; air or electric defrost
provisions; replaceable core liquid and suction filters; suction accumulator;
oil separator; water regulating valve; phase loss monitor; non-fused
disconnect; two-tier stacking rack; and more.
The
versatile units are designed to utilize R404A, R407A, R407C, R448A and R449A
refrigerants. The models are UL and cUL listed and are available as extended
medium or low temperature models.
